As the set & costume designer for this large-scale production of 'Our House', the musical featuring the songs of Madness, my role was to help audiences follow the dual narrative story, explore the parallel outcomes that can be shaped by a single decision.

Responding to the show's split structure and 1980s setting, the set design centred on a series of double sided, movable doors that allowed sense to shit between the parallel worlds. Strong Memphis inspired pattering was combined with industrial elements to create a bold visual language that supported both the time setting and story telling.

Costumes had a 1980s feel with some distinctive geometric and abstract moments to reinforce the duality of the story and journey of the characters.

This role involved concept development, material research and close collaboration with the creative team through the rehearsal and shows.
